Event Performances

NBAPA Top 100 Camp (6/11): This was our first extended look at Joel James, and the 6-10, 280-pound C certainly does hold promise. The obvious primary issue for James is that he simply must trim down; he’s at least 30 pounds too heavy. With a more buff physique, the big man’s strength would become more of an asset. As it stands, he gets too many shots blocked inside due to a lack of lift, and his face-up shooting is just okay. Still, young big men need time, and we’ve seen stories like this one work out very well in the past.
