Skills AssessmentAssets: This combo guard impressed coaches and scouts on the 16-under circuit and is primed to step up to 17s this year. Nunn's situation is very different than that of most top-25 prospects because he teams with the nation's top overall prospect, Jabari Parker. For that reason he understandably slides into the background during the high school season, yet he has managed to shine himself at times and certainly benefits from playing with and against top competition. Nunn is a good athlete who can create off the dribble and lacks fear when challenging big men at the hoop. He's especially comfortable running the break and now should be classified as a combo, and his jump shot is acceptable, if not yet a true strong point. Question Marks: Nunn suffered through a rough patch during his junior season. Again, because his role for Simeon is significantly less than what the other prospects on this list adopt, he sometimes faded while Parker stole the spotlight. Meanwhile, he hasn't yet added the playmaking and handling skills he'll need to play point guard full-time in college, so for now he's still a slightly undersized wing. Maximizing his perimeter shooter also would greatly enhance his already-formidable scoring talents. Event PerformancesPrepStars.com Staff, www.PrepStars.com |
