JamesOn Curry's future at North Carolina was thrown into serious jeopardy Wednesday, after the record-setting scorer was arrested on drug charges as part of a sting involving the Alamance County Sheriff's Department. Curry, who broke the state record for points scored in a career earlier in the season, was charged with six felony counts, ranging from drug possession to sale and delivery. It's too early to predict what Curry's future will be at UNC, if any, but clearly his scholarship status will be scrutinized heavily by the Tar Heels pending further developments. JENKINS PICKS WESTERN CAROLINAOne-time Tennessee-Chattanooga commitment Jamar Jenkins committed to Western Carolina during his official visit last weekend over Arkansas State, Western Kentucky, Winthrop, Louisiana-Lafayette and McNeese State. "I chose Western because of the players, coaches, location, academics, and the fact that I will have an opportunity to play early," Jenkins said. The slender wing is a solid athlete and scorer who had attracted interest from Western Michigan, Minnesota and others.
