ROLLE OPENS IT UP

By Rob Harrington

June 10, 2004

Magnum Rolle decided to end his recruitment early, making a pledge to Florida State earlier this year, but now, according to his high school coach, the slender big man has reopened his recruitment.

Rolle, a 6-10 BF/WF from Freeport (Bahamas) St. George, is a very skilled face-up forward who has great height and length for his position. He needs to get stronger, but he proved at Nike Camp last year that he's capable of competing against top-notch competition.

NINERS STRIKE GOLD

One of the most significant transfers of the year has been announced, as outgoing Oklahoma wing DeAngelo Alexander has decided to finish his college career at Charlotte.

Alexander, a 6-5 WG/WF originally from Oklahoma, was highly touted as a member of the Class of 2002 and should be able to make a big impact for Bobby Lutz's program.

Blessed with broad shoulders and good athleticism, Alexander is at his best scoring off the dribble and in transition.
