ARMWOOD, MOSER COMMITSBy PrepStars.com staff
Isaiah Armwood wanted to get everything taken care of prior to the July evaluation period. The slender 6-8 combo forward at Rockville (MD) Montrose Christian ended his recruitment, selecting Villanova over Syracuse, Texas and many others. Armwood is one of the most versatile players in the Class of 2009, as he can score inside thanks to his height, long arms and good quickness, or step out to the perimeter and can medium-range jump shots. Armwood also can put the ball on the floor and beat most opposing forwards off the dribble. He averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game last season for a strong and balanced team. MOSER CHOOSES ARIZONAThe Pac-10 version of the Wildcats picked up a pledge as well, getting the nod from Mike Moser, a 6-8 WF at Portland (OR) Grant who had received offers from Washington and Washington State, in addition to many others. Moser is one of the underrated players in the senior class, but in fact he possesses top-100 potential and should be an early contributor for rebuilding Arizona.
