High school seasons are ending everywhere, but while playoffs are beginning and concluding for many, there still have been a couple of noteworthy commitments to track heading into the new month.

The biggest name to go was junior AL C DeMarcus Cousins, who pledged to Mike Davis' UAB program over a host of major programs. Cousins represents a huge recruiting score for the Blazers, which obviously aren't accustomed to getting top-five national talents.

HALL CHOOSES UT

Tennessee landed a prime 2009 recruit of its own, getting a commitment GA BF Kenny Hall. Hall had received interest from Florida, Duke and others, but he cited interest in the Vols' playing style and obviously was impressed by the team's recent success.

Hall is a tremendous athlete who excels at an uptemto pace, so there's every reason to believe he'll be successful in Bruce Pearl's system.
