GADDY, OTHERS MAKE THE CALLBy PrepStars.com staff
Arizona fans can breathe a sign of relief, as they Wildcats reeled in their most important target. WA PG Abdul Gaddy reaffirmed for Lute Olson's program after previously backing off an early commitment he had made to the Wildcats. While many other major schools tried to get involved, Gaddy ultimately trusted his initial instinct. Gaddy's influence at Arizona should be immediate and significant, if brief. The sinewy guard is a tremendously talented scorer and playmaker who, at 6-3, has excellent size for the position. He'll need to get stronger and to become a more consistent shooter, but it's likely that he is a top-10 talent in the class regardless of his present shortcomings. More decisions: PA C Aaric Murray: Committed to LaSalle. Comment: Murray is a positively fantastic pledge for the Explorers, giving them a potential franchise player and a feather in the recruiting cap, as LaSalle beat out several Big East programs to gain Murray's services. During the summer we loved Murray's ability as a rebounder and quick instincts at all areas of the court. NC WF Garrius Adams: Committed to Miami. Comment: Adams was one of the most improved players on the summer circuit, and as a result he garnered extensive major-conference interest. Thanks to smooth athleticism and enhanced scoring ability, Adams should become a contributor at least by his sophomore season, once he adds the necessary bulk for college.
