On the heels of an excellent spring, Desmond Simmons already had the scholarship offer he wanted and ended his recruitment. The 6-7 BF/WF, a rising senior at Richmond (CA) Salesian, chose Washington over Oregon State and interest from Oregon, Stanford, St. Mary's and Cal.

Simmons was very impressive starting at the Boo Williams Invitational last month. A slender forward who may be more of a 'tweener than one ordinarily would prefer, he nevertheless is very active and athletic, and thus he makes plays irrespective of what position he occupies on the court.
