MAJOR APRIL COMMITS

April 23, 2009

Some big things have happened during the past 36 hours. Starting in the outgoing senior class of 2009, Kansas has won out for high big-time OK WG Xavier Henry. Henry had signed with Memphis in the fall, but he opted to obtain a release in the wake of John Calipari's departure for Kentucky.

Henry has the potential to be an impact performer in the Big 12 next season and will fill a position of need, as the Jayhawks lacked wing scoring this past year.

MCKIE CHOOSES DEACONS

Wake Forest looked to the rising senior class to get VA combo forward Travis McKie. McKie is a stalwart for the Boo Williams All-Stars and jumped out to a strong early start to the travel season.

He had been pursued by numerous ACC programs throughout his prep career and will continue the run of athletic excellence seen at Wake in recent seasons.

MILLER LANDS AT GEORGIA TECH

Georgia post man Daniel Miller, 6-11 C of Loganville Christian Academy, pulled the ol' switcheroo and signed with Georgia Tech instead of rival Georgia, where he originally pledged and was subsequently released.

BRYANT CHOOSE HOGS

Top-200 utility BF Glenn Bryant chose Arkansas. Bryant is a tremendously skilled offensive player, but he possesses the kind of length and athleticism that makes him a very good fit for the SEC.

Late-Breaking News: Elite Class of 2010 prospect, Jeremy Tyler (#2) declares his intentions to play in Europe.
