PANGOS VIDEO: TERRELL VS. JACKSON

June 4, 2009

In our continuing series of video presentations, today we're taking a look at last weekend's Pangos All-American Camp in Los Angeles.

While there obviously were lots of California prospects in attendance, the best battle of the event may have been on the final day, when NC WG J.T. Terrell squared off against top-25 TN PG/WG Joe Jackson.

Colleague Brick Oettinger filed his report on the game earlier this week, and here is the relevant passage:

"... it was Jackson, an ultra-quick and physical driver as well as ball-hawk, who was named team MVP for the game with 19 points, four assists and excellent play in the clutch. He impresses us as a virtually certain McDonald's All American next season, barring a major injury."

"Turning to the White team, the most sensational player in this game was Terrell, a Wake Forest verbal commitment who has been very streaky in the past, but who burned up the nets all day on Sunday, when he drilled five three-pointers in a camp game that morning and then swished six more treys en route to 30 points in the Top 25 Game. Once he got on a roll, he seemed almost impossible to stop or even to slow down, as his very long bombs constantly tickled the twine. If (the key word) he can shoot with similar consistency in college, the Deacons will possess an immeasurably dangerous weapon."
