GOBBLE, GOBBLE: COACHES HUNGER FOR TOP PLAYERSPrepStars.com staff
Despite the fact that this week as a whole was quiet due to the holiday, there was some noticeable movement along the recruiting trail. The biggest news was the deliverance of a commitment to Ohio State by top-50 junior GA PG Shannon Scott. The son of former North Carolina star Charlie Scott, the younger Scott is an improved scorer and playmaker who enjoyed a solid spring and summer. Ohio State has done an extraordinary job recruiting underclassmen in recent years, and Scott is just the latest to offer the Buckeyes an early pledge. MEANWHILE. …TX WG Brandon Peters announced for Western Kentucky. Peters is one of the most explosive leapers in the country, and despite being sub-six feet, he throws down slams in traffic. Check out a video of his we shot last spring: Peters Slam. |
