GOBBLE, GOBBLE: COACHES HUNGER FOR TOP PLAYERS

November 25, 2009

Despite the fact that this week as a whole was quiet due to the holiday, there was some noticeable movement along the recruiting trail. The biggest news was the deliverance of a commitment to Ohio State by top-50 junior GA PG Shannon Scott. The son of former North Carolina star Charlie Scott, the younger Scott is an improved scorer and playmaker who enjoyed a solid spring and summer.

Ohio State has done an extraordinary job recruiting underclassmen in recent years, and Scott is just the latest to offer the Buckeyes an early pledge.

MEANWHILE. …

TX WG Brandon Peters announced for Western Kentucky. Peters is one of the most explosive leapers in the country, and despite being sub-six feet, he throws down slams in traffic. Check out a video of his we shot last spring: Peters Slam.
