SIGNING DAY RUNDOWN

November 11, 2009

The letters have been faxed in and the news continues to pour. Here are the latest moves on the recruiting trail for the Class of 2010, and as you’ll see there has been quite a lot of movement on Wednesday.

In the Northeast, Pittsburgh won out for tough, rapidly improving wing scorer J.J. Moore, who had narrowed his choices to the Panthers, Louisville and St. John’s.

Top-100 (or better) talent, and reclassified Chatham (VA) Hargrave big man Shawn Kemp Jr. signed with Auburn. This was especially big news because Kemp previously had been a commitment to archrival Alabama.

In news of undoings, former Indiana pledge David Williams has backed off his pledge to the Hoosiers by mutual agreement. At N.C. State, NC BF Luke Cothron didn’t sign and will wait until spring to finalize for the Wolfpack or ink elsewhere. He also may re-classify to the Class of 2011.
